This whole “making it easier to read” aspect suggests that you are writing for anyone or anything other than your ego, which violates the cardinal rule of blogging.
That being said, I think making the screen insanely white, and thus doing retinal damage to all who attempt to read your prose, is a good idea.
All future blogger-bloggee relationship decisions should be patterned off of Lifetime movies about wife-beating that I watch on mute while laughing hysterically.
